This extensive and detailed environment is one of a kind. With this environment, we used the power of the new Unreal 5 Engine to bring you an environment that can be used both for games and cinematics. Featuring highly detailed individual assets, modular structural assets, fully set up lighting and environment systems, and much more!

Intended Use
This environment has been created primarily with games in mind. it features optimized nanite & LOD assets, 4K textures downscaled to a sensible resolution, and optimized lighting assets. However, due to the quality of the assets, this environment can also be used for cinematic purposes. The environment is intended for higher-end systems & consoles.
Structure
This environment has been made out of mostly Modular assets that can be used to change the airport into any structure you want. The structural assets feature a master shader with additional roughness control and world space textures if needed.
Assets
Assets have also been made modular where needed. Next to this most of them feature unique textures. (optimized of course). Some assets feature an additional material option where you can change the color of the assets based on a mask.
Textures
All textures come in PBR 4k resolution and are downscaled in UE to have logical texture resolution and performance. Some of the tillable materials even come in 8k if you so desire.
Lighting
We make full use of Lumen in this scene. All assets have been optimized to work with Lumen and follow the lumen technical validation documentation ? our assets do not come with traditional lightmap UV?s but you can always auto-generate those if needed.
All lights have been set up using blueprints with simple on & off + color controls.

- The aircraft used for the exterior of the environment is not included. you can download this asset for free HERE
- All images & videos have been rendered at an average of 40-60fps on cinematic quality using an RTX 3090.
- This project is performance heavy due to it's size and default settings, please read the documentation to see how to run a more optimized version.

Having explored a multitude of assets on the Unreal Engine Marketplace, the Abandoned Airport environment truly is the best airport package I've come across. I'm thrilled to weave these assets into my hobby project, complementing our in-house materials. Incorporating this will undeniably streamline our workflow and conserve considerable time and energy.
Will be keeping an eye on future projects from this creator.

hi there. as long as you after do not sell our content directly on some kind of marketplace you should be allowed to use it yes. but we recommend reading the marketplace Terms of service to be sure as we have little knowledge of UEFN.
Demo map questions

Hello,
I am interested in buying this asset pack but I just have a few questions. My first question is if I am allowed to use the demo map for UEFN? I was wondering what the file size is for the demo map? My last question is if the demo map uses any blueprints/enums? (blueprints/enums sometimes don't work in UEFN)

Hi there. If you mean converting this environment to UEFN so that you can sell it yourself on the UEFN marketplace then no, you are not allowed to do this as it is considered directly reselling. Next to this we have not tested this environment on UEFN yet but might convert it ourselves later on.
Glaring sun?

When trying the example level I notice the sun is really bright and glaring. Do I need to change some settings please? The whole level is almost a bright light

Hi there. That should not happen. Can you try playing with the bloom settings in your post effects or lowering the glare/bloom settings in your directional light?

5.0 version?

Sorry but sadly Unreal does not allow us to downgrade our environments. We will try to always stay on 5.1 with our environments and upgrade from there but sadly there is too big of a difference between 5.0 and 5.1 for us to go any lower

airport level is not showing up and all other levels seem not to show up completely

Hmm, that is very strange. Maybe something went corrupt during import or download? Can you try to import the airport in a brand new project? Also here is a screenshot of what the Scene folder is supposed to look like: As you can see it has a level named "Airport" which is supposed to be the entire airport. https://i.imgur.com/JIG8mlp.jpeg

Exterior

When people ask about exterior, they just mean how the building looks from the outside. ;)
My question: is it possible to build a two story airport, like schiphol?

Hi there. I would say that this is possible yes since all the assets are modular. Of course, It would still be in the style of this airport but you are able to change the airport to your liking. Especially if you have basic modeling skills then you can really push it the extra mile :)
License Question

I can see you have an Indie license option on ArtStation. I was wondering if I ever need to upgrade it to commercial license (although I doubt I would ever reach that revenue threshold per year), do I need to pay only the difference or I would need to buy a new license and the old one becomes obsolete?

When that time comes you can contact us and we can provide you with a commercial license which will be priced at commercial license - whatever you paid for the indie license :)

Helllo! I just paid and on market place on site button changes to "Open in Launcher" but in launcher i dont see them, In marketplace inside the launcher it "Unavaible"

Hi there. That is quite a strange problem. Since we do not have control over the launcher we recommend that you contact [email protected]
However some things that you could try is to completely restart your pc since sometimes it takes some time for the system to realize that the pack is available.
Also what you could try is to double check to make sure the sale went through. since this is a high value product sometimes your bank might take a bit longer to process the payment.
Lastly please make sure that you have a version of UE5.1 or 5.2 installed.

Non nanite models

Hi is this pack contains models that are not nanite? If yes then I'd buy it but if it's only nanite it's useless for a game cause not everyone has super powerfull machines. and if models are not nanite then Example map contains models that are not nanite?

Hi there. Nanite is activated on our models. this is because lumen is more optimized with nanite. However our models are created using traditional techniques and are still low poly so you can easily replace nanite with LOD's and they are still perfectly useable. So upon buying the only thing you would have to do is turn off nanite and auto-generate LOD's for the assets.

For the clean airport ypu can simply delete the trash and place the assets a bit more neatly :) all assets are created in a way that they would also work in a clean setting
Prefabs & Exteriors?

Outside of the levels you provided, will there be prefabs of the airport so we can drag and drop the enviroment into a level like an open world level for example. Also is there exteriors for the building itself other than just the entrance. like I'm not looking for airport towers or anything lol but just to ensure that the airport building doesnt have transparent holes or anything?

The airport has streaming levels for which you can import the sections of the airport separately in whatever level you want with ease.
as for the exterior buildings, the airport is mainly focused on the interior. However, we do have next to the entrance building a single exterior building: https://i.imgur.com/n7J2T6l.jpeg
Next to this, the rest of the exterior airport is closed off and looks fairly neat with clean whiteboxes.

The interior part looks very nice and I see a little bit of exterior elements. But how large is this building actually and does it have a full exterior or is it just the front what we see in these pictures?

Hi There,
This environment has been focused mostly on interiors so there is no exterior airport beyond the entrance that you see on the pictures.
In terms of scale, the airport contains 1 exterior entrance, 1 entrance hall, 1 shop floor below the entrance hall, 1 baggage claim area, 1 security room, 1 duty-free shopping area, 1 large terminal, and 1 small terminal.
Although it is difficult for us to give you an exact m2 scale of the entire airport the entrance hall is around 80m x 50m for reference.
